A solid walking simulator set in 1989 where you play a guy called Henry who works as a fire lookout in the Wyoming wilderness. Your job is to look for smoke and keep the forest safe. Your supervisor Delilah is available to you at all times over a small, handheld radio who happens to be your only contact with the world.

As you play more in the game you find something strange draws you out of your lookout tower and deep into the forest, where you’ll explore a wild and unknown environment.

A stunningly beautiful wilderness environment that expands as you explore and the choices you make shape the narrative and how you build relationships. Firewatch delivers a impressively immersive experience. I highly recommended it!

This game is not for the faint of heart. It is extremely atmospheric and dark with nightmarish themes. I played this at nighttime to get into the mood of the game, pitch black, on edge and waiting for a surprise at every turn, every door, every room. The jump scares work so well and leave you feeling scared, emotional and on edge.

The story is good, progressing in stages through the experience. I wont talk about the story as it's good to experience on your own. There are different endings too depending on your actions through out the game giving it some replay value.

The puzzles are not too challenging but still require a little bit of thinking. The graphics are simply superb but are not taxing on your system, meaning you can play  this with high graphics settings without needing a beast of a gaming PC to play it.

I recommend this game as something different from the usual gaming experiences, but it is aimed at those who love horror and getting the shit scared outta ya! Check out the official trailer below!
